    High-Definition Skin Analysis

    Known for its unique method of personalised cosmetic care, Biologique Recherche already uses the Skin Instants© Lab to diagnose each client’s skin before any product application on the epidermis. Today, Biologique Recherche goes even further in skin analysis with a new sophisticated diagnostic tool, in addition to the Skin Instant© Lab: this device is called VisioLab©.

    VisioLab© is a cutting-edge technology that takes a high-resolution photo of the face for scientific purposes, to better analyse the characteristics of your skin. Calculated in real time, the results can be interpreted immediately.

    The concept is simple: once the client’s face is positioned in the device, a multivariate analysis is performed in a single click. This analysis examines:

    • the surface of the pores (dilated or tight),
    • the intensity of pigmentation spots and blemishes,
    • the uniformity of the complexion,
    • the extent of wrinkles.

    VisioLab© illuminates the face very evenly with a special acrylic that directs the light, while a miniature 5-megapixel camera photographs the face to assess skin quality according to 5 criteria…

    Pore Analysis

    This analysis shows the marks and pores visible on different parts of the face. Pores are the small openings used by the sebaceous and sweat glands; larger pores are shown in red and finer pores are shown in green.

    Pigmentation Analysis

    During the shot, the Visiolab© light illuminates the face with white light. The Visiolab© also allows UV filters to be applied to the images. The images then show damage caused by the sun and premature skin aging.

    Blemish Analysis

    Pigmentation spots on the face are identified. They stand out from the background by their reddish colour. Freckles, small scars and lesions are also considered blemishes.

    Wrinkle Analysis

    Wrinkles in the analysis area are indicated. Results are expressed as a percentage of the area of the face covered by wrinkles.

    Complexion Uniformity Analysis

    Complexion defines the colour of the facial skin as a function of individual characteristics (age, health, season, etc.). The apparent uniformity or homogeneity of this colour is important for the overall appearance of the face. VisioLab© photographs 5 randomly selected parts of the face and then calculates the colour differences.
